DMK leader Stalin greets Vidyasagar Rao

DMK Treasurer M K Stalin today greeted Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao on assuming office as Acting Governor of Tamil Nadu.

Stalin said although Maharashtra Governor will be holding additional charge of the state, his experience as a Minister in the A B Vajpayee-led BJP government "will be of great help to the people of Tamil Nadu."

"I wholeheartedly welcome Vidyasagar Rao who has taken over as Governor," he said in a statement.

Rao was sworn-in as Acting Governor of Tamil Nadu at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan here, yesterday.

He has been given the additional charge of Tamil Nadu as the tenure of K Rosaiah as the Governor ended on August 30.
