A senior DMK worker was allegedly hacked to death in public view by some unidentified persons while he was on his morning walk in nearby Tirupur.
Subramani (45), a local committee member of the party from Anupparpalayam area, was hacked by a four-member gang, who came on two motorcycles with sickles and fled from the scene, police said.
The seriously injured Subramani, doing real estate business, died on the way to hospital, police said.
