DMRC Managing Director inspects Kochi metro work at Muttom

: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Managing Director Mangu Singh inspected progress of work at Kochi Metro at its Muttom Coaching Depot.

Earlier, Singh and Elias George, Managing Director of Kochi Metro Rail Limited commissioned an auxiliary/traction substation (ASS/TSS 1) at Muttom Metro Coach maintenance Depot.

KMRL officials said the 110 KV grid supply is expected to be ready by only in February.

"To facilitate the urgent need of traction power supply for the third rail at Muttom Depot test track, a temporary arrangement is made by availing 2 MW power from KSEBL.

In this process 11 KV grid at Muttom which is converted to 33 KV using 11/33 KV transformer and the 33 KV supply is fed to traction substation, stepped down and converted to 750 DC supply for energising the third track,"a release said here.
 

After commissioning the facility, Mangu Singh inspected the other works in progress at Muttom Coaching Depot and he further inspected up to JLN stadium.

He was accompanied by Jitendra Thyagi, Director, Works, DMRC and A K Gupta, Electrical, DMRC.
