A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly manhandling a senior surgeon here, police said today.
A senior cardiac surgeon Dr Vidayat Kumar Sinha working at the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust hospital was allegedly man-handled by Rajendra Machhindra Ghatge yesterday, relative of a 23-year old woman Pramila Radhakisan Ghatge, who passed away after her heart surgery conducted by Dr Sinha, police inspector at Shirdi police station Pramod Wagh said.
According to the complaint filed by Sinha last evening, the deceased's relatives were briefed about her critical condition and a consent was also signed by them, he said.
Ghatge suddenly entered Sinha's cabin and slapped him, venting anger over Pramila's death, police said, adding, further inquiry into the matter was on.
