A prominent physician has received a letter demanding Rs 50 lakh as extortion along with a live cartridge, police said today.
Dr Ajit Kumar Singh, the owner of a well-known private medical speciality, yesterday filed an FIR at Patrakar Nagar police station about receiving a letter demanding Rs 50 lakh as extortion and a live cartridge few days ago, SHO R K Bhaskar said.
The FIR was filed against unknown persons, he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav said today that action would taken against those who would be found behind the incident and the guilty will not be spared.
