Vijayalakshmi Rao (45), the wife of city-based cardiologist Dr D Seshagiri Rao who faced graft allegation, was found dead today at the couple's house in the Jubilee Hills area here, police said.
Her body was found in the store-room of the house after Jubilee Hills police had registered a 'missing person' complaint on November 30.
Police said she is suspected to have taken a strong dose of sleeping pills and the body was found in a highly decomposed state.
In January this year, Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths had arrested Rao, then head of the department of cardiology at city-based Nizam's Insititute of Medicine, for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 1.6 lakh from a stent supplier.
