A doctor was allegedly shot dead by three unidentified persons in his clinic in Kidwainagar locality under Kotwali police station here late this evening, police said.
Doctor Maherban Ali was in his clinic when three unidentified persons came on a motorbike and shot him, a senior police official said.
The doctor was rushed to a hospital where he declared dead.
Police has started an operation to search for the accused and security has been tightened. Extra police personnel has been deployed in the area to ease any tension.
