Doctors urged to stay up-to-date on brain tumor treatments

: More than 100 doctors from across the country took part in a one-day seminar on 'Brain Tumor Updates' here today.

Inaugurating the seminar, KIMS Hospital Vice Chairman G Vigayaraghavan said it is the duty of private hospitals to provide affordable diagnostic facilities for early detection of such diseases and treatment.

"Early detection of brain tumor is a must as it helps improve survival and quality of life of patients with these tumors," said KIMS Hospital Neuro Surgeon, Biji Bahuleyan.

The seminar urged the doctors to remain up to date on the latest literature available and treatment of brain tumors.
 

The most up-to-date research, including surgical and clinical evidence-based information, was presented and reinforced through case discussions at the event led by Suresh Nair (Sreechitra Institute Trivandrum), Anil Peethambaran (MCH Thiruvananthapuram), Gireesh Menon (Manipal) and Rajesh Iyyer (Coimbatore).
