Documentary 'Powerless' to premiere at Berlin Fest

Indian feature documentary 'Powerless' (Katiyabaaz) will have its world premiere in the international forum for new cinema at the ongoing 63rd Berlin International Film Festival. Directed by Fahad Mustafa and Deepti Kakkar, the film follows the struggles over electricity in Kanpur, India and screens today. Set amidst extreme power shortage in the city, the film tells the story from the perspective of an electricity thief and an IAS officer who has vowed to eliminate electricity theft. This is duo's first full length documentary feature. The other Indian films at Berlin this year are -- Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che', Saurav Sarangi's feature documentary 'Char... The No Man's Island' and short film 'Sonyacha Aamba'.
