Dolly Parton has returned to the top of Billboard's top country albums chart in the US for the first time in more than 25 years.
"Pure & Simple" is Parton's seventh record to hit number one on the chart and her first since 1991's "Eagle When She Flies."
"Boy, it's a good day for me. I am a happy girl! It feels great to be No. 1, as it's been a long time, and it feels so good to still be in the game after all this time," Parton, 70, said.
"Pure & Simple" was self-released on Dolly Records in a partnership with Sony Music Nashville. Parton recorded for RCA Records (now under the Sony umbrella) from 1968 to 1981.
