Bengali actress Srabanti Chatterjee, who is making her comeback on big screen after marriage, says she thinks genre does not need to be categorised.

Srabanti, who was last seen in Aparna Sen's "Goynar Baksho", tied the knot with Krishan Vraj, a model and a photographer, in July 2016.

"It is our problem that we slot a film in a particular genre with so much haste. What is arthouse, what is commercial, what is middle-of-the-road!

"Ultimately what matters is a good role and not the genre. I love to do all types of characters and various genre films, all films are commercial and mass movies," Srabanti told PTI.

The actress will next be seen alongside her husband in the yet untitled film.

"We're also playing couple in the movie. I enact a struggling model. So, it is reel life from real life as well," she said before adding "It is a role reversal situation as he is giving me modelling tips and I'm offering him suggestions before shots," she says.

The film will be shot in London, Leeds, Yorkshire, Lake City, Scotland and partly in London Metro, which will make it a third Bengali film after "Anuranan" and "The Bongs Again" to be extensively shot in the British capital.

Apart from Kishan, the film's director, Joydeep Mukherjee, is in the process to shortlist one more hero for the movie.

Srabanti was previously married to director Rajiv Biswas, with whom she also shares a son named Zinuk.

When asked if she would like to work with Rajiv in future, the actress says, "I will definitely work with him as I respect him as a filmmaker. No personal issues.
