Delhi BJP leaders were today advised by senior party leaders to put a united front to meet future challenges and refrain from "leaking information to the media" that can harm the party.

Speaking on the last day of two-day executive committee meeting of the BJP's Delhi unit, senior party leaders, including Union Minister Piyush Goyal gave tips to the leaders.

"Our party is in power. So, refrain from leaking information to media because such persons are soon exposed," Goyal was quoted as saying by a senior party leader who attended the meeting.

The minister who had earlier objected to presence of mediapersons during his keynote address, also reminded the leaders the "responsibility" laying with the Delhi BJP and the newly elected party councillors.

"A lot of responsibility lays on the Delhi BJP and the newly elected councillors to make Delhi the best city of India in next 20 months as this will ultimately get us victory in 2019 elections," he said in a statement.

The national vice president of the BJP and in-charge of the party's Delhi affairs, Shyam Jaju, asked the leaders to stick to reality and not to allow the workers become lethargic following the victory in the recent MCD polls.

"We cannot allow confusion or lethargy to set in," he said and asked party leaders to brace up to face challenges in the future.

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari lashed out at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleging that his government is "failing" on governance front.

"It is sad that due to the Kejriwal government's negligence, there is acute shortage of water and power in Delhi. The government is crippling the Delhi Transport Corporation - the lifeline of Delhi," he alleged.

Ramlal, the national general secretary (organisation), in his concluding address, asked the BJP leaders put up a united front and ensure the "long awaited" victory in the next Delhi Assembly elections and sustain the momentum till the next General elections.

Delhi BJP's political resolution presented by Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Vijender Gupta thanked the people of the national capital for the party's victory in the MCD polls.

It also lauded the achievements the Modi government in the last three years and condemned the corruption and misrule of the Arvind Kejriwal dispensation in Delhi.

The gathering also condoled death of soldiers and security personnel killed on duty. Deaths of party members including 100-year-old Indira Pasricha, who passed away recently, were also condoled.
