Actor Arjun Kapoor says he does not believe his decision to play a homemaker in R Balki's "Ki & Ka" is an attempt to change his image.

Known for his romantic and action roles in films like "Ishaqzaade" and "2 States", the 30-year-old actor will play a not-so-ambitious house husband to Kareena Kapoor Khan in "Ki & Ka".

When asked if the role can be termed as an experiment, Arjun said, "Many people are calling it a gutsy move. I don't think it is only that. When a director sees that capability in you... I never saw myself like that.

"We were always told that you have to look macho, do action but I have a soft side to me which Balki sir saw. I am somebody, who was close to his mom, so this also appealed to me. I never saw it as an image breaking move."

The actor was speaking at the Zee Cine Awards, where he also performed on a track from the film titled "High Heels". Arjun wore red heels for his performance.

"Ki & Ka" will arrive in theatres on April 1.
