Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and FX network have exited the planned "Deadpool" animated series due to "creative differences".
The show was the brainchild of the Glover brothers, a 10-episode order for which was announced last May, People magazine reported.
The yet-to-be-titled show had been expected to arrive this year.
A representative for the "Atlanta" acto did not immediately respond to request for comment.
It is currently unclear whether Marvel will scrap the animated project or attempt to redevelop it.
In its big screen adaptation, "Deadpool 2", featuring Ryan Reynolds in the lead, is scheduled to be released on May 18.
