Actor Ojas Rajani, whose alleged poor portrayal in Shankar's 'I' has angered the transgender community, today asked them to give up the protest as the director did not mean to offend anyone.
"Please do not react in an angry manner as (director) Shankar sir has not tried to demean my character. In fact, he has shot it esthetically and in a beautiful manner," actor and make-up artist Ojas Rajani said in a statement.
"It is just a story in a film of love were a character of mine falls in love and reacts in a certain way. We are not trying to offend the transgender friends. So please I request you not to be offended," she said.
