The Department of Telecom has extended permit period to sell international SIM cards to three years from one year earlier.
"The No Objection Certification (NOC) shall be issued initially for a period of three years and shall be renewed on the request of company for further period of three years," a DoT circular on sale or renting international roaming SIM cards or global calling cards said.
Earlier, companies that sell or rent international sim cards were required to take NOC every year.
