Scores of people protested outside the collectorate here today, demanding the arrest of those behind the murder of two schoolboy brothers earlier this month, police said.

The protesters, including the family members of Umesh and Yogesh, also alleged the main accused -- Jitendra alias Juta -- was threatening the witnesses and the family members.

They submitted a memorandum to the district magistrate, demanding arrest of the accused, who is absconding, and a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the victims' family.

On October 9, Umesh and Yogesh, who were students of Class XI and X respectively, were murdered, allegedly by neighbourhood youths after a brawl ensued in Barola village of Sector-49, Noida.
