Wall Street suffered another pummelling on Thursday following a downbeat outlook from Apple on China sales and surprisingly weak US manufacturing data.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average stood at 22,686.42, down more than 650 points or 2.8 per cent.
The broad-based S&P 500 slid 2.5 per cent to 2,447.95, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index sank 3.1 per cent to 6,457.13.
Apple plunged 10 per cent to USD 142.19 in its worst session since 2013, losing almost USD 75 billion in market value.
