Over a dozen children reported ill after consuming deworming tablets in a college falling under Mathura Kotwali area today, an official said.

"All the children are well now and have been sent to their homes," Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr S K Tyagi said.

He claimed that de-worming tablets were given with the instruction that these should not be given to any student who is ill.

After consuming tablets, several students reported sickness and were cured after treatment, he said.

The exact number of the students given the tablet today would be known on Aug 17, the day the repeat dose, Tyagi said.
