A meeting of newly elected delegates of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, which also includes former prime minister Manmohan Singh, will be held tomorrow to discuss election of the new president of the party's state unit.

The meeting, to be chaired by incumbent DPCC chief Ajay Maken, will be held at Rajiv Bhawan where an "important resolution" will be passed, said a DPCC statement.

Maken, who was made the DPCC president in March 2015, is likely to be re-elected, party sources said.

The term of the state unit president has been increased to five years from three years, they said.

The DPCC delegates were elected by the party workers from 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi recently. Four delegates were elected from each constituency, said senior party leader Chatar Singh.

Former prime minister Manmohan Singh was elected as a delegate from the New Delhi Assembly constituency, Singh said.
