Members of Delhi Congress today held a demonstration outside the historic Town Hall in Chandni Chowk area to protest the "wrong implementation" of the GST.

DPCC chief Ajay Maken said the Modi government was in a state of "deep slumber" as prices of all essential commodities have "soared sky-high".

An effigy of price rise and GST was also burnt by the protesters.

The Delhi State Traders' Congress, under the aegis of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, is organising week-long demonstrations at 42 major markets across Delhi to protest against "price rise as a fallout of the wrong implementation of GST," the DPCC said in a statement.

Tomorrow, a demonstration will be held at the Rani Bagh market in Adarsh Nagar.
