The Commerce and Industry Ministry is proposing quality regulations for domestic gas stove for use with LPG, and bicycles-retro reflective devices.
In a draft order, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has said that the Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority.
"Any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016," the draft order issued separately for both the products said.
