DPRO found hanging in Aurangabad

A Bihar government officer has allegedly committed suicide in Aurangabad district, the police said today.

Bhupendra Narayan Singh (45), who was posted as the District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) in Aurangabad district, allegedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his house late last night apparently in a fit of depression, Superintendent of Police Upendra Kumar Sharma said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and a probe is on to find out the reason behind the extreme step taken by him, the SP said.

A native of Arwal district, Singh was recently transferred to Aurangabad from Purnia, Sharma said.
 

Singh is survived by wife and two children.
