Drug firm Dr Datsons Lab has received an order worth Rs 120 crore to produce cancer drugs from Ochoa Laboratories.

Dr Datsons Labs Ltd has forged a potential collaboration with Delhi-based Ochoa Laboratories to produce Oncology drugs to cater the European market, the company said in a statement.

Commenting on the development, Dr Datsons Lab MD and Vice-Chairman Rajendra Kamat said, "We are excited about the latest order confirmation from Ochoa Labs which was there in the proposal since a year."

"We are hopeful about a long lasting relation with Ochoa which will be a steady source of revenue," Kamat added.

Ochoa Laboratories Director Sunil Chopra said, "We have received orders to export anti-cancer drugs to Europe and since we don't have specialised plants, Dr Datsons' facilities are ideal for us to source the finished formulation."

Apart from Europe, Ochoa Laboratories currently has operations in Uganda, Venezuala and Costa Rica among other Latin American and African countries.

Dr Datsons Labs shares were trading 2.99 per cent down at Rs 7.80 apiece during pre-close session on the BSE.
