Drake planned to release his playlist project "More Life" this month, but fans would not get their ears on it until early 2017 as the rapper's manager Oliver El-Khatib announced that it will be released next year.

During an episode of OVO Sound Radio, the manager said that "More Life" would be dropping "at the top of 2017," reported AceShowbiz.

Without specifying a date, Drake confirmed the project's 2017 release also by posting a video on Instagram of himself playing basketball with some friends.

"Finally got to play today after recovering from the ankle injury. Happy to be back at 100 and ready for More Buckets More Shows and More Life 2017," he captioned the clip.

The 30-year-old record producer has already released four songs from the project, which was originally set to drop in December, including "Two Birds, One Stone", "Sneakin' " featuring 21 Savage, "Fake Love" and a remix of UK rapper Dave's "Wanna Know".

The "One Dance" hitmaker has a big year ahead. In addition to releasing "More Life", he is nominated for eight awards at the 59th Grammy Awards.

His latest effort "Views" is up for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album, "Hotline Bling" is nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance, while "Pop Style" is up for Best Rap Performance.
