Addressing a joint press conference, re-inducted Congress leader Vijay Singh Mankotia and party's candidate from Dharamsala Sudhir Sharma blamed the BJP government for the rise in unemployment.

"The number of unemployed registered or otherwise have gone up to 16 lakh in the state of 68 lakh population in Dhumal's regime," said Mankotia, the Congress candidate from Shahpur constituency.

Dhumal government had patronised only the land mafia in Himachal, alleged Sharma.

Shrama said that Congress will enquire all the misdeeds of the BJP government if it comes to power in the state.

Both the Congress leaders alleged that chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal "deliberately" cut down funding in Kangra district's development because of political enmity with his party's senior leader Shanta Kumar.

"Shanta's group people have given in writing to the BJP high command that Dhumal and his son Anuraag are leading the most corrupt government in India," Mankotia alleged.

Mankotia also talked in length about the CD imbroglio involving him and senior party leader Vir Bhadra Singh.

He said that CD related "enmity" between him and Virbhadra has been buried outside the court.

Mankotia said that Virbhadra when first time rang him, said that "jo pichey hua main dafna dena chahta hoon (I want to bury what happened in past)."

Mankotia said he too responded saying,"saheb aap do kadam aage chalen to main 10 ladam chalunga (If you will walk two steps I will walk 10)."

"But the matter is still in the court," said Mankotia.

Mankotia also distributed a list with details of alleged properties of Dhumal and his son Anuraag in Jullundhur, Goraya, Phillour, New Delhi and Dharmshala which he raised during the last 5 years.
