The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) will hold a public hearing on June 20 and 21 to determine the power tariff for domestic consumers.

The DERC has already received petitions from three power distribution companies which demanded substantial hike in tariff last month.

"Petitions from distribution companies for determination of tariff for the current fiscal 2014-15 and adjusting the true value of expenses for 2012-13 are under process in Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC)," said a statement from the Commission.

Comments, suggestions and objections from stake-holders were invited and received through public notice issued in April, 2014.

The public hearing is open for all general public, Resident Welfare Associations and other industrial, commercial, government organisations and agencies.

The Commission will also simultaneously hold public hearing on draft demand side management regulations, proposed regulations on net metering in respect of rooftops solar PV projects and regulatory accounting regulations.
