The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), in a joint operation by Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Mumbai units, has seized 218.43 kgs of the banned narcotic substance mephedrone valued at Rs 30.58 crore in international market, from neighbouring Rajasthan.
"In a joint operation of the DRI's units in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur, 218.43 kgs of mephedron hydrochloride - a psychotropic substance listed under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, has been seized from Abu Road," said a statement from DRI.
"The drug was seized from premises of a private firm Rishi Minechem Private limited at RIICO Industrial Growth Centre in Maval area on Abu Road in Rajasthan yesterday," it said.

The international market value of the drug was estimated to be around Rs 30.58 crore, it said.
"Besides, 15.40 kilograms of Meth Amphetamine has also been seized at Lucent Pharma in GIDC in Chhatral area here," said the statement.
The international market value of Meth Amphetamine seized from the Ahmedabad-based firm is estimated to be around Rs 15.40 crore.
Five persons were arrested during this joint operation.
Om Prakash Yadav was arrested by the DRI's Jaipur regional unit, while Manohar Lal, Pranav Kansara, Sunil Patel and Ratilal Patel were arrested by DRI Ahmedabad.
