In a drive against street crimes in east Delhi, Delhi Police has taken 131 criminals under preventive custody since yesterday.
In the drive against criminals involved in street crimes such as robbery, snatching, auto-lifting and theft, 32 police teams verified whereabouts of 578 criminals who have cases against them.
The arrests have been made to prevent cognisable offences, police said.

During checking at public places, including malls and parks, 15 persons were booked for drinking in public, said Rishi Pal, DCP (east).
An auto lifter was also arrested during the drive and four stolen vehicles were recovered from him, said the officer.
