A truck driver was burnt alive and the cleaner sustained injuries when their vehicle caught fire after ramming into another truck on Jaipur-Ajmer highway in the district in the wee hours today, police said.
The mishap occurred when the victim, Rajkumar (32), could not control his speeding truck and it rammed into the vehicle ahead of him which had suddenly applied brakes, Investigating Officer Harvinder Singh of Dudu police station said.
Cleaner Ravikant managed to jump from the truck but the driver got trapped and was charred to death, he said.
The injured has been admitted to a hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
