DrivoJoy raises Rs 4 crore from IAN

Two-wheeler service and repair platform DrivoJoy today said that it has raised Rs 4 crore from Indian Angel Network in its pre-series funding.

Eliminating the middle layer, it (DrivoJoy) helps mechanics to earn 2-3 times more than what they earn working at a garage, DrivoJoy Co-Founder Aman Singhal in said.

"Our future plans include venturing into a number of other automotive verticals... The investment we have raised will be used primarily for hiring, marketing, building technology and scaling up our operations," he said.

This round has been co-led with Tessellate Ventures, Equity Crest and Tracxn Labs, he added.

F45 India appoints ex-cricketer Brett Lee as brand ambassador * F45 India, the master franchise for Australia-based functional training system for fitness F45, today announced the appointment of former Australian cricketer Brett Lee as brand ambassador for the country.

Pradeep Palli, Director of F45 India, said the company is is also planning to open as many as 300 outlets under the franchise model.

"Fitness chains in India have sprung by dozen, but many of them lack the steam to carry on or transform into successful business models. F45 is here to lay all that to rest. Sony Pictures to have multi-language feeds for UEFA Euro 2016 * Broadcaster Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) today said it will have multi-language feeds for international football tournament UEFA Euro 2016, scheduled to be held in France from June 10 to July 10.

It will telecast the event in six languages - English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

"Sony SIX will telecast the English language feed for the tournament, while Sony ESPN will give viewers the option of Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu or Malayalam language feeds," the company said in a statement.
