Claiming a drop in the number of dengue cases reported on a day-to-day basis in Dehradun, the state government today said sanitisation and fogging being carried out on a war footing in different parts of the city had made a major difference.
"Fogging is being carried out in every ward of the city with the help of six large fogging machines on a regular basis and 54,018 buildings have been sanitised by volunteers drawn from different fields including NCC, Safai karamcharis and Asha Karyakatris.
"It has led to a major difference with 781 dengue patients out of a total of 834 reported so far already cured of the disease and a drop in the number of cases being reported daily," Health Secretary Om Prakash said.
