While saving her mother from being beaten up by her father, an 18-year-old girl lost her life at the hands of her drug addict father at Bathinda in Punjab.
Manpreet Kaur, a class 12th student, was beaten to death by her father with a hammer when she stopped him from assaulting her mother yesterday, police said.
The accused father, Rashpal, was beating his wife when she rebuked him for being unemployed. He has been arrested.
