Authorities in Kashmir Valley's Budgam district today cancelled drug license of two chemists for selling expired and government medical supplies to the public.

During a surprise check of chemist shops in the district, Assistant Controller Drugs (Budgam) found two medical shops selling expired medicines and government medical supplies, a police spokesman said.

The drug license of both the shops had been cancelled, he said.

Three persons were arrested for black marketing rice meant for public distribution in the district.

A case had been registered and more arrests were likely, the spokesman said.
