Drug peddler arrested in Anantnag

In a special drive against drug peddlers, police arrested a person in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district and seized three kgs of charas from him.

So far, 20 drug traffickers had been arrested during the drive in the past one week in south Kashmir, a police spokeman said here today.

"Abdul Rahim Reshi, a resident of Kandipora village, was arrested during checking at Bijbehara on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway last night," he said.

Three kgs of charas were seized from Reshi who was booked under the NDPS act, the spokesman said.

Police also seized 130 Rexcof and Corex bottles, 150 tablets of Alpanol, 152 bottles of liquor and 90 packets of charas, each weighing 2.33 kgs, during the drive.
