The drug peddler was caught by AR at its mobile check post at Lal Bridge in the town recently, a press release said here today.
Pratap Mahto, who hails from Kovin village, was on his way from Sorulongvi to Chamro during the arrest. During thorough search of his vehicle, 56 bundles (approx 8 kg) of opium was found hidden in the car.
The seized items have been handed over to Jairampur police station. A case has been registered and investigation is on, the press release said.
