A drug peddler was arrested in south Kashmir's Kulgam district and more than half-a-kilogram charas was recovered from his possession, police said today.
Acting on specific information, a police party apprehended a drug peddler at Chawalgam crossing in Kulgam, a police spokesman said.
The peddler was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday, a resident of Barbugh, Imamsahib area of Shopian district, he said.
The spokesman said about 600 grams of Charas was recovered from his possession, adding police has registered a case and investigation was taken up.
