In the second such instance within a week, a drug peddler was today arrested in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
"Drug peddler Hashim Majeed Bhat of Mohalla Mir Sahib, Baramulla has been booked under PSA and lodged in Udhampur jail," a police spokesman said.
He said Bhat is a notorious cannabis supplier and involved in many cases of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA).
Besides drug abuse cases, he was wanted in a kidnapping case and various incidents of stone pelting, the spokesman said.
On November 11, police had arrested Fayaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Ganaie Hamam locality of Baramulla town, and slapped PSA on him under the provisions of NDPSA.
