As a part of drive against drug peddlers, police intercepted one Mohmmad Ajlees and his wife Shamin Akhtar of Uttar Pradesh and as police started searching the duo, Ajlees escaped from the spot last night.
During search of the woman, about 5,800 intoxicant parvan Spas capsules were recovered from her, they said.
A case has been registered and woman was arrested, they said, adding, operation to track down her husband was on.
The duo was involved in smuggling the drugs among the youths in adjoining areas of the district, they said.
