A drug peddler was arrested and around 100 gram of brown sugar seized from him from here in Balasore district today, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at a house
in Sahadevkhunta area of the town and nabbed the youth with the narcotic.
The market value of the contraband would be around Rs 10 lakh, police said.
On June 7, a woman peddler was caught here with 1.2 kg brown sugar valued at around Rs 1.2 crore.
Excise sleuths had seized about 700 gram of the drug valued at Rs 70 lakh from the town on May 28 and arrested one person.
