Drug smuggler Jagdish Singh Bhola has been sent to judicial custody by a court here after his six-day remand with the local police ended.
He was today sent back to the high-security Nabha jail after the local court sent him to judicial remand yesterday, police said.
The Phagwara police took him into custody in connection with the killing of assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police Gurdev Singh on March 31, 2013. Local police officers, however, were tight-lipped about revelations made by him in the matter.
