Two persons were arrested with 10 kgs of a narcotic substance in Pulwama district of south Kasmir, police said today.
Acting on a specific information, a police party intercepted two persons riding on a motorcycle at Padgampora, 35 kms from here, last evening and recovered 10 kgs of Fukki from their possession, a police spokesman said.
He said police had laid a naka after receiving a tip-off about transportation of the narcotic substance from Pulwama to Awantipora.
The spokesman identified the arrested duo as Nisar Ahmad Laway of Lurgam and Mohammad Ashraf Wani of Ladhoo and said a case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against them.
