Drug traffickers with heroin worth Rs 10 lakh held

Two drug traffickers were arrested with 300 grams of fine quality heroin worth Rs 10 lakh in the international market in their possession from east Delhi, police said today.

Acting on tipp-off, police arrested Mohammad Amir (28) and Firoz Khan (22) when they reached the foot-over bridge opposite Kishan Kunj, Akshardham temple, with the heroin to supply it to one Babbu on September 12, Joint Commissioner (Crime branch) Ravindra Yadav said.

They were caught by a team of Crime Branch that had laid a trap to nab them, he said.

The duo hailed from UP and had procured the heroin from a man named Ashfaq in Bisoli, West bengal.
 

Investigation is on and efforts are underway to bust the whole drug racket, Yadav said.
