A history-sheeter, active in smuggling of drugs and fake currency across Indo-Pak border, was arrested from Barmer, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Nabia alias Nawab (58) last night from his house in Gagaria village of Barmer district and recovered three mobile handsets and four SIM cards from his possession.
"We had caught two persons in Jodhpur with one kg Opium and fake currency with face value of Rs 98,000 on Sunday. One of them, Kishanram Bishnoi, told police that he had received the currency from Nabia," DCP (West) Hinglaj Dan said.

Nabia has been brought here for interrogation, they said.
He was earlier caught in 2005 with fake currency notes worth Rs five lakh, 14 kg Heroin and two pistols, police said, adding, he was out on bail currently.
He was also convicted for murder and had been caught with explosives earlier, they said.
