The BSF seized 4 kilograms of heroin worth Rs 20 crore from Ferozepur Sector of Punjab today.
BSF, DIG, RPS Jaiswal said in a statement that early morning jawans of the force spotted some persons in the area moving about suspiciously. When they did not stop even after being asked to, the jawans opened fire. But the smugglers made away due to the dense fog.
Later, when the troops surveyed the area, they found four packets of heroin each weighing 1 kg. The value of the contraband is estimated to be Rs 20 crores in the international market, he said.
