A middle-aged man, who was asleep in his house, sustained serious injuries, when a car allegedly rammed into the house, here today.
Police said the car driver Ibrahim shah, who was in an inebriated state, lost control of his vehicle, and hit it against an electric pole, before ramming into the roadside house at Thangachimadam.
The vehicle ran over Manikandan who was fast asleep.
However, two other occupants in the car managed to escape after the accident.
A case has been registered and investigatins are on.
