A 35-year-old inebriated man allegedly beat his wife to death and then set her body ablaze to hide his crime in Pauhar village, police said today.
"Lal Singh beat his wife to death last night and burnt her body to hide his crime," police station in charge of Badausa, Manoj Pathak said today.
A police team rushed to the crime spot on a complaint made by the family of the deceased.
"The body has been sent for post-mortem and the accused taken into custody," Pathak added.
