Hot and dry weather conditions
prevailed in Uttar Pradesh with the maximum temperature being recorded at 40.1 degree Celsius in the heritage city of Agra.
The day temperatures rose appreciably in Meerut division, while it fell in Varanasi, Jhansi divisions, Gorakhpur, and Allahabad divisions, the MeT department said.
Temperatures in Faizabad and Kanpur fell markedly below normal whereas appreciably below normal temperature was recorded in Lucknow, Bareilly and Moradabad, the department said.
The weatherman has predicted dry weather over the state with possibility of rain/thundershower at isolated places.
