Dry weather in most parts of HP

Dry weather prevailed in most parts of Himachal Pradesh as monsoon remained subdued while sporadic rainfall occurred in some places in the state.

Barring Una, Kangra and Dharamsala which received 19 mm, 15 mm and 11 mm rains, the weather remained dry in other parts of the state, causing marginal fall in maximum temperatures.

Unawas hottest in the region with maximum temperature at 33.5 degrees Celsius followed by Sundernagar and Bhuntar (31.7 each), Nahan (29.2), Dharamshala (28.2), Solan (28), Manali (25.6), Shimla (24.1) and Kalpa (24), the Met department said.

The minimum temperatures dropped marginallywith Kalpa recording a low of 9.8 degrees Celsius followed by Manali (10.2), Keylong (11.0), Shimla (14.8), Dharamsala (16.4), Solan (17.4), Bhuntar (18.0), Nahan (19.3), Sundernagar (20.6) and Una (23.7).
 

The MeT department has predicted dry weather in higher hills from September 6, while rain and thundershowers are likely in lower and mid hills for six days from tomorrow.
