Very light rain was recorded in isolated places in Uttar Pradesh and dry weather prevailed in western parts of the state.
According to the Meteorological Department, day temperatures were above normal in Allahabad, Jhansi divisions, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad, Agra and Meerut yesterday.
The highest maximum temperature in the state was 46.2 degree Celsius, which was recorded in Jhansi and Banda.
Heat wave conditions are very likely at isolated places over the state tomorrow. Weather is most likely to remain dry over east Uttar Pradesh on May 26 and rain or thunderstorm is very likely at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh on May 27.
The weather is most likely to remain dry over west Uttar Pradesh on May 26 and May 27.
The weather department also said that heatwave conditions are very likely in Jhansi, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Jalaun, Agra, Firozabad, Etah, Aligarh, Mathura and adjoining areas.
